In Emilia-Romagna, the “bicycle tourism” phenomenon is increasingly strong: the region is confirmed as the first in Italy for kilometers of bicycle paths, thanks to the mapping of new low-traffic routes and cycle paths.

With the boom in the sale and rental of electric bikes, a slow and leisure mode vacation is increasingly popular among cyclists, for an increasingly innovative, diversified, sustainable bike tourism that enhances the territory and its excellences. A tourism product that has become strategic is continuously developing around the bicycle, with local operators and stakeholders increasingly specializing in the services they offer, such as the bike hotels of the Terrabici consortium.

Emilia-Romagna has nearly 9,000 km of bicycle routes, some of them permanent, cycle paths, as well as dirt “gravel” tracks.

In 2024, the region will host the“Grand Depart” of the Tour de France 2024
