The province of Brescia presents cycling routes and packages integrated with bike hotels, culture, food and wine, able to appeal to families, amateurs and advanced sportsmen. Among the routes not to be missed is the Ciclovia dell’Oglio (Oglio Cycling Route) a 280-km-long nature trail that starts at Passo del Tonale, 1,883 meters above sea level in the heart of the Adamello Park mountains and crosses Lombardy.

The bicycle paths

The GreenWay, the bicycle path that runs through the heart of the Brescian mountains joining the city of Brescia with the Valle Trompia and the Valle Sabbia, is a route that boasts 3,500km of cycling, 74 routes for slow, road and mountain biking, and 9 tours suitable for both families and mountain and road biking enthusiasts. The ‘slow bike’ bike path allows people to enjoy the landscape of these two Valleys made up of museums related to the Forges and the mining past of these places, farms with local products, the hydroelectric power plant, Mount Maniva, and the shores of Lake Idro.

Completing the offer are 17 routes present on Lake Garda mapped and networked by Visit Brescia. These include Garda by Bike: one of the most scenic bicycle and pedestrian routes in Italy and one of the most scenic in Europe. A steel boardwalk hooked to live rock runs along the lake at Limone sul Garda, with points cantilevering over the water. As of today it measures only 2 km, but an initial extension to Riva del Garda for a total of 12 km is planned.
